One call to us gives you all that and more, putting you "on the road" to explore any destination in the United States. If we don't already have a package for where you want to go, or you want a package modified, we'll put the trip together for you. We've served travelers at over 395 destinations.

We pride ourselves on listening carefully. To get started on your trip, we need to know where you want to go, your dates of travel, how many in the party, and what you're interested in. Or, if you're in the initial planning stages, we can develop a custom itinerary for you.

You'll find the results of our planning a refreshing mix of adventure, cultural exploration, travel and just plain "free-wheeling." and comfortable with the process it takes to make the trip exactly what you want.

When booked, your Personal Travel Portfolio will be delivered to your door by overnight express, complete with vouchers for accommodations and attractions. The maps, brochures, and other interesting information we include will let you dream a bit before leaving. You can forget about further research, you'll have complete driving directions from your home to the destination, to each location you'll be visiting and back again, at your fingertips.

American Driving Vacations is the only organization in the United States that offers independent driving travel vacation packages with all the components we include. Our packages are specifically designed to give busy people great travel experiences in the United States, even when they don’t have time to plan or research the destination and driving directions.

Pre-packaged or Custom

You can select from one of the more than 700 driving travel packages that appear on our website, or you can tell us exactly what you want and we’ll craft a custom trip specifically to fit your needs.

 

Short or Long

We don’t create packages shorter than two nights or recommend a trip shorter than that, because it doesn’t provide enough time to relax and explore. The longest trip we’ve planned is 31 days.

 

In the City or Off the Beaten Path

We know the cities of America like the back of our hand, but pride ourselves on putting together trips to the byways and backroads. We’ve traveled in all 50 states, to many places that most folks don’t know exist. If you want a trip to an out of the way destination, quiz our geography and see what we come up with.

 

Historic Inns or Hampton Inns

We offer carefully selected historic inn accommodations (smaller than large hotels, bigger than small bed and breakfasts) for each of our packages, and offer an commercial alternative in Hampton Inn. We believe we can count on the quality of either of these choices.

 

Just Accommodations and Information or All Inclusive

We deliver trips where we just book the hotels and provide information about destination highlights, scenic byways and attractions, for a small fee. We put together the whole enchilada at not additional cost to the traveler.

Last Minute or Long Lead Time

We can work as quickly as you require. We’ve put together a Personal Travel Portfolio overnight and shipped it to the first hotel when there was no time to deliver it to the customer’s home. In contrast, we also regularly take reservations in February and March for trips in October and November. We’d like a week to deliver your Personal Travel Portfolio, but if you’ve only got a day to let us know, we’ll do everything we can to accommodate your needs.

 

Singles, Couples, Families and Small Groups

Even though our trip pricing is based on double occupancy, we regularly serve single travelers, couples, families and small groups. Be sure to have us check out pricing for any trip. The per person price can turn out lower not higher and a family of four generally isn’t four times the per person price. Trips for small groups are priced on an individual basis.

 

We Help Create Memories

In addition to delivering driving trips, we also create memories. Travelers come to us for honeymoons and anniversaries, birthdays and family reunions. We’ve helped couples recreate the same trip they took on the honeymoon, for their 50^th wedding anniversary. We’ve helped families who celebrate all nature of events. We’ve created birthday trips for children, surprise trips for spouses, and more. When we arrange these trips, we want you to be able to concentrate on the celebration, not on the travel details.
